I'm a 10.5 Pro user and I've scored a couple of short films now with it now. If you REALLY can't decide between the two, buy Nuendo now, then wait a few months when Cubase goes on sale for 50% off, and then you'll have both! :) Nuendo makes it easier to deliver your product to non-musicians, and this may be the thing that gets you more work with that producer on a future project. But when it comes to collaborating with other individuals who aren't musicians, you may find that they may require you to work in a way that's not typical for composers. ie 'Can you send me a clip of Scene 4 with the score only, no dialogue?' then you'll want Nuendo.įrom a musical composition standpoint, Cubase and Nuendo are extremely similar.
